Institute of Packaging Nigeria exhibiting at FairTrade, agrofood & plastprintpack Nigeria

Lagos-Nigeria March, 2015: The Institute of Packaging Nigeria; IOPN, is a full member of World Packaging Organisation; WPO, and founding member of African Packaging Organisation; APO. IOPN is pleased to announce that she will be exhibiting at agrofood & plastprintpack Nigeria (1st International Trade Show on Agriculture, Food, Food processing & Packaging Technology, Hospitality, Plastics & Printing Technology)  from 28-30 April 2015 at The brand new Landmark Convention Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos. The Institute will provide brand owners, Packaging manufacturer, suppliers and related Industries with information about IOPN as well as showcase IOPN’s services and how organisations can leverage on Packaging processes within the value chain.

“The idea to launch a professional platform especially for the Nigerian business community was brought up by the exhibitors and the organizers of national pavilions at our agrofood & plastprintpack West Africa 2013 in Accra last December”, says Martin März, fairtrade’s CEO. “Then we presented the project at a meeting with the economic counselors of Austria, Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain and Sweden in Lagos this February and received an all-around positive feed-back. Therefore we are excited to create this new major platform for our long-term customers.”


Mr. Mike Adekola, President, Institute of Packaging Nigeria emphasizes that IOPN’s presence at the agrofood & plastprintpack Nigeria is ideal for attendees who need Packaging Education and a global understanding of the Food value Chain from farm to final consumer; including farmers, suppliers, transporters, processors etc, as well as deeper understanding of activities of IOPN & WPO to improve the efficiency and productivity of their operations.


 “Africa is the next destination and the rising Continent” Adekola said. “The Agricultural Transformation Agenda (ATA), launched in 2012, an initiative of the Federal Ministry of Agricultural and Rural Development, the goal of the ATA is to build commodity value chains and the institutions required to unlock Nigeria’s huge agricultural potentials with the targeted outcome such as add 20 million tons of food to the domestic food supply by 2015. The agrofood & plastprintpack Nigeria (1st International Trade show would not have come at a time better than now! Nigeria is the largest economy in Africa; she is witnessing a diversification of an oil base economy to amongst others, agro base economy. We’re looking forward to participating at the agrofood & plastprintpack Nigeria.”
