ProPak India 2022, the premier exhibition of process and packaging technologies for the food, beverage, pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries, will be held at the International Exhibition Centre (BIEC) in Bangalore from 21 to 23 September.

Ucima, in collaboration with the Italian Trade Agency ITA, will take part in the event with an Italian Pavilion that will host a delegation of eight companies: Alcos, Cavanna, Delfin, Finpac Sleeve, Ica, Omas Tecnosistemi, Sacmi Imola and Zanasi.

This is a strategic exhibition in a region with immense potential. International analysts expect that India’s real GDP growth will exceed 6 per cent. Amid surging per capita income, a stronger focus on quality, a growing export propensity and a policy aimed at decimating agricultural waste, India is renewing and expanding its processing and packaging technologies and is requesting Italy as a partner to provide the quality and guarantees.

“Returning to ProPak India as a normal in-person event is a very important opportunity for our association,” commented Riccardo Cavanna, chair of Ucima. “The Asian market has always been a major focus for companies in our industry, and the Indian market in particular has seen remarkable growth in recent years. We are proud to be able to represent Italy once again on this international stage.”
